Dalat Golf Tour 3 daysHANOI - HO CHI MINH CITY - PHAN THIET - DALAT - HO CHI MINH CITY
This trip will give you the opportunity to discover the diversity of Vietnam in terms of culture, landscape and history, while devoting time to your favorite hobby, golf. Vietnam was one of the first countries in Asia to create high quality golf courses, including the last Emperors' private 9 hole course in Dalat in the 1920s. There are currently 14 golf courses in Vietnam, with more to come. This 10-day tour features four of the best-designed courses, including one designed by three-times U.S. Open champion, Nick Faldo. This tour also has included time to visit magnificent Halong Bay, as well as the idyllic seaside resort of Phan Thiet.
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Upon arrival, our guide will accompany you to your hotel. In the evening our guide will take you out to sample some of Hanoi 's superb cuisine. (D)
Day 2: Hanoi
Morning drive to the King Island Resort, where you can swing your club on this 18-hole course set in a beautiful green valley. In the afternoon we return to the capital for a tour of the Temple of Literature and the Old Quarter. (B)
Day 3: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay
Today we visit Ha Long Bay. This UNESCO-designated World Heritage site is the perfect place to unwind. The islands contained within the bay are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. In the afternoon we return to Hanoi. (B,L)
Day 4: Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City
Fly south to Ho Chi Minh City. You will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vietnam 's largest city including the poignant War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. (B)
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City
Today we play a round of golf at the Song Be Golf Course, widely regarded as one of the most challenging in the country. The 100-hectare golf resort was built out of the natural landscape of fruit orchard and coconut palms and features at least 10 lakes with tree-lined fairways. The remainder of the day is free to explore Vietnam's most vibrant city.(B)
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City - Phan Thiet
Drive to the coastal resort of Phan Thiet. Later we play 18 holes on the exquisite Ocean Dunes Resort Golf Course. Nick Faldo designed this links course. It is an outstanding natural site with sand dunes, sea breezes and fantastic sea views. (B)
Day 7: Phan Thiet - Dalat
We leave the coast and head inland to the 'City of Eternal Spring' of Dalat. In the afternoon there will be the chance to discover some of the city's most interesting sites. (B)
Day 8: Dalat
We start the day by playing a round of golf at the superb Dalat Palace Golf Club. The course gently blends into the rolling hills of Dalat and overlooks Xuan Huong Lake, and the fairways weave through the oversized pine trees. (B)
Day 9: Dalat - Ho Chi Minh City
Fly back to bustling Ho Chi Minh City. The rest of the day is free. (B/D)
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City
The tour officially ends after breakfast although there will be departure transfers waiting to take you back to the airport for your connecting flight out of Vietnam. (B)
