Kien Giang leases forest for eco-tourism
Southern Kien Giang province People’s Committee will lease 8,710 hectares of forest at Phu Quoc island for ecological tourism development.
The province’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will create a zoning plan and acquire capital from domestic and foreign sources.
The committee said the project would promote tourism as a key industry in Phu Quoc island and prevent forest destruction.
